She Is was founded by Ellen Hardy, a Sunshine Coast transplant turned proud regional woman, with a long-standing passion for seeing women thrive in life, business, and everything in between. After moving to the region in 2021, Ellen saw something clearly - there were incredible women doing incredible things, often quietly, often carrying more than anyone realised.
What was missing wasn’t talent or drive… it was connection.

Just real women, real conversations, and spaces where people could be seen for who they are - not just the circumstances they’re navigating.
Across every business endeavour Ellen has been part of, one thread has always remained the same: a deep love for watching women step into who they were created to be. Not who the world told them to be. Not who life forced them to become. But who they actually are.
She Is was built from that place.
Today, Ellen leads She Is as a community for regional and rural women who want more - more connection, more support, more confidence, and more room to grow without pretending they’ve got it all figured out.
It’s not about being louder or shinier.
It’s about showing up, backing each other, and creating a community where women rise - together.
THE VISION
She Is: a no-fluff community for regional women in business, connection, and real conversations that matter.
She Is isn’t a stiff women’s network, a buzzword club, or a room full of matching blazers (though that would be cool - who wants orange?!).
She Is is where regional and rural women show up as they are - business owners, side-hustlers, dreamers, doers, mums, leaders, starters, restarters… all of it.
Born from the belief that connection shouldn’t feel awkward or exclusive, She Is exists to bring women together in a way that actually feels good. Real conversations. Big laughs. Honest stories. Practical support. No pretending you’ve “got it all sorted.” We are here to support, challenge, help you grow, know you’re not alone and see that you can KICK BUTT no matter what lays in front of you.
This is a space for women in business and women building themselves because let’s be honest, those two things are usually happening at the same time.
